Situated in the walled garden at the Bluecoat - the oldest art centre in the UK. A unique oasis in the center of the city where you might also want to take some time out to enjoy a coffee, view the galleries or visit the Liverpool One shopping/leisure complex.
Bluecoat workshop - a busy working space in character with the oldest building in the centre of Liverpool, built 1716 ... the same year that Antoni Stradivari built 'The Messiah'.
Set in 11 acres of mature woodland in a designated 'area of outstanding natural beauty' this workshop is in complete contrast to the Bluecoat. When visiting the ‘workshop in the woods’, bring the dog, some stout shoes and enjoy the sublime peace and seclusion … the perfect place to make new instruments or rebirth and reawaken your fatigued instrument.
** A purpose built workshop is being rebuilt and expected to open at end of 2019 **
